I headed to Saddleback Church again this morning, wanting to catch the next episode of "40 Days of Love." Yes, I know it sounds a bit juvenile, but the intensity with which Rick Warren shares his passion for people is contagious and effective. He urged us to love the unlovable this week. How appropos. What a refreshing morning!
Tomorrow, Stephan leaves for France to attend to his company's affairs. The American political debate continues, and channel 46 (FOX news) is constantly relaying the most recent thrashes in the background as we eat dinner every night. Interestingly enough, the first poloitical debate is next weekend. I am sure that both parties will spend this week in preparation for their first chance to 'WOW' the public. Then again, they wouldn't be candidates if they hadn't already 'wow-ed' the people, right? Oh, the pains of politics! I have to admit that I have been sucked into the world of surveillance--of the candidates, of the people, of the economy, of America. My patriotism has sincerely exploded since I have return to the states. Maybe it was because I missed the stars and stripes. Maybe it was because I felt the loneliness of a stranger for the first time in my life. Maybe it was because something just clicked, and I grew up a little bit. Whatever the catalyst, I am die-hard-with-a-vengeance dedicated to the free world. I am proud to be an American.

We are certainly blessed beyond words to be Americans...but more than that, to be Christians. Thank you Jesus, for our freedom! How well you said this, Hannah. I Love You, Mom
