Nice: Day 2

Happy birthday, Mom!
Can you imagine a beach without sand? Try imagining it with soft stones, the same stones used for hot stone massages. Interestingly enough, as I watched the world of Nice below me as I stood in the garden of the Chateau at the tops of the stairway with 373 steps I witnessed the constant motion of a busy city in a compact space. In Nice, there is no other world. The entire east coast of France is a world unlike anything I have ever seen.
For instance, the top of a mountain has been converted into a park, the streets are so squished together that getting lost is a past time of even the most noted citizens. The city overflows with tourists from every corner of the world. It is a brilliant little city, certainly a sight to see.
Another ice cream outing with Anne Laure and Moncef, my two newest friends, ended another great day. Tomorrow, it's back to Aix. This time, along the coast. Should make for a beautiful drive and a relaxing day.
