My life in one word: move. I move from what is familiar to what is unfamiliar, only to find that what was once unfamiliar has become familiar, and I move again to another unfamiliar place. Yet, I only move with direction, so I cannot claim restlessness as my motivation. I've learned (albeit with stubbornness) to move as He moves.
Now that you know my entire life in one word, let me introduce myself: self-proclaimed perfectionist, English-speaking chatterbox, sink-or-swim financial specialist, cookbook-collecting domestic, all-too-intense political in-activist, patriot-of-truth believer, rebelling-lover-of-rules paradox, Gilmore-Girls-in-real-life practitioner, "how-can-I-help-you?"-woman-of-the-moment, "I-don't-know-how-I-got-here"-subscriber, Hannah Rechelle Hinkson.
I am en route to the south of France, where I will spend the coming days as an Au Pair, teaching English to the Maurouard children. What can I say but "my dreams are alive!" After studying the French language and culture, I have fallen in love with the dream of one day living there. That day is this Friday, when I will land, however exhausted and overwhelmed with anticipation, with both feet on French soil, and will only be left with one lingering thought: "imagination is real."
I will write to you often with my most affectionate thoughts. Please know that I do, and will continue to adore you more with each passing day.
So, I will leave you with one final thought before putting my life in the hands of Lufthansa airlines:
My life is in boxes, my parents at home. My friends are all scattered, my world is divided. It's too late to stay, near time to go. I'm in my last dream before my feet hit the ground. Excitement abounds with adventures to live. I'll just keep on moving until He says, "stand still."
